OUR STORY
The Motel 6 Winnipeg West was the third hotel for the Schinkel family. The hotel is the first Phoenix designed Motel 6 in Canada, which means the sleek new modern exterior and interior. The hotel was built in 2011 and opened on May 19. The hotel has won countless awards over the years for service excellence. The most recent was the prestigious Heart of Service Award 2017 for going above and beyond in providing exceptional guest service.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
The Motel 6 is a proudly a large sponsor for Koats for Kids in Winnipeg, a local charity that donates slightly used coats to new Canadians. Over the last 5 years the team has washed over 25,000 coats to help keep kids warm! We continue to be excited about this endeavor and giving back to the community.
One area that we show our genuine care is through actively giving back to the communities we are lucky to be in. We do this through washing over 25,000 coats for the Koats for Kids program the last few years, working with local charities such The Bethesda Foundation and many more. Each hotel actively gives back to the community that we are located in.
